프람프트 프로젝트 개관 기념전시 는 각기 다른 은율과 리듬, 정서적 사운드들이 모여 감성을 회복한다는 은유적 표현이다. ‘노스텔지어’의 어원 노스토스(nostos)는 고통, 슬픔, 고민을 뜻하는 알고스(algos)가 합쳐진 언어로 궁극적인 정서의 회복을 상징한다.
이를 기반으로 음악을 구성하는 소리의 주요 요소인 색채, 리듬, 볼륨은 실로 음악 뿐만 아니라 미술에도 적용이 되는 표현이며, 조형적으로도 주요한 요건이다.
전시 는 이러한 순수 조형의 기본 요소를 축으로 각기 다른 감각을 발휘하는 초대작가 박미나, 정희민, 이은우의 신작과 미공개 구작을 통해 음악의 정서와 미술의 교차적 감정을 생성해보고자 했다.

전시는 음악과 미술을 아우르는 순수조형적 요소들: 색(톤), 리듬(운율), 크기(볼륨)를 기반으로 구성했다. 전시의 구성은 1층에 위치한 정희민은 리듬(운율)의 인상으로 시작한다. 음악의 대표적인 사조, 낭만주의 정서를 동 시대적인 감각으로 전유한 이 작품들은 스크린 자체를 하나의 공간이자 화면, 캔버스의 환영의 장으로 상정하여 각각의 캔버스들이 고유한 인상을 보여주면서도 그것들이 모아진 총체적인 감각을 동시에 상기한다.
뿐만 아니라 정희민이 다루는 3D 회화의 감각을 십분 발휘한 시리즈 은 마치 물가와 그 표면에 반사되는 빛의 나른한 감각, 그리고 텅 비어 있는 상태를 통해 부유하는 생각들을 로렘 입숨 (Lorem Ipsum)에서 발견되는 더미 텍스트들을 통해 드러냈다. 이미지를 채우기 위한 텍스트들인 로렘 입숨은 대개 의미없이 사용되지만 이미지로 치환되며 부분적으로 그것들의 단어, 단어의 상징성들이 직관적인 메시지를 통해 경험하는 이미지로 역할 한다. 이는 디지털 세계와 현실을 아우르는 이미지로서 감각적으로 환원하여 과거 낭만주의의 정서가 회고하는 구체적이고, 섬세한 감정들을 공간적으로 투사되고, 공간이 회화속에 잔존하는 시지각적 환영적 이미지를 보여줬다.

Prompt Project is proud to announce Nostalgia through Noise, an inaugural exhibition of the space and a metaphorical expression signifying the recovery of sentiment through the collection of cadences, rhythms, and emotional sounds that vary from one another. The etymology of "nostalgia" is a composite of nostos (homecoming) and algos (pain, sorrow, anguish), symbolizing the ultimate recovery of sentiment.
Three elements of sound, color, rhythm, and volume, comprise music as well as art and formation in visual art.
Stemming from these core elements of art, Nostalgia through Noise showcases new works and unexhibited works of MeeNa Park, Heemin Chung, and Eunu Lee who employed different senses to create traversing musical and artistic sentiments.

The exhibition is comprised of art components that encompass music and art: color (tone), rhythm (cadence), and size (volume). Heemin Chung's works, on view on the first floor, open the exhibition with the impression of rhythm (cadence). Chung reinterprets Romanticism, one of the most representative musical trends, in a contemporary point of view across her works—each work assumes the screen as an illusionary space, scene, or canvas to display individualistic impressions while invoking a collective sense in entirety.
In On Vacation, Chung fully employs the artist's signature 3D painting techniques to depict waterside, drowsy lighting reflection on the water surface, and thoughts that surface from a void in dummy text clusters displayed in Lorem Ipsum. Lorem Ipsum means a placeholder text commonly used to demonstrate the visual form of a document or a typeface without relying on meaningful content, although texts are morphing into an image to narrate intuitive messages through texts themselves and their symbols, becoming an image to experience. Sensibly reconstructed into the images that transcend the digital and the real world, Chung’s works show specific and delicate sentiments of Romanticism in spatial displays and also portray visual and perceptual phantasmagoria in which the space remains in the painting.
