The Middle Land started with the contemporariness of time. The unique time when the origins of time are distinguished by the era, when the values of the society are formed and culled, and when the home of the individual's life in it further catalyzes its formation. That time shares the current life and trajectory in a different way from the time we normally consider. The realm of such time is the terrain of our emotions, the vestiges of real emotions, and the evidence of the imaginations of reactions’ voyage.

ARENA Named X: The Narrative of Hwaseong
“그 찰나의 순간이 도모하는 인상은 그것이 일시적일지라도 그 장소를 의미공간으로 바꾸어 놓는다. 그리고 여럿 의미공간들이 겹쳐지며 우리 공통의 의미가 공존하는 공간이 되고, 궁극적으로 우리가 사는 주변의 관계를 형성해 나가며, 삶의 희로애락을 낳는다. 내게 ‘그 장소’가 되어버린 공간의 존재는 종래에 그 장소에 머물렀다 사라진 ‘그 사람들’을 상기시킨다. 전시 『X 라는 이름의 아레나: 화성의 내러티브』는 어떤 장소에 거주하며 시간의 지평에 존재하는 특정할 수 없는 인물과 그 인물들이 형성한 삶의 터전을 장소로서 해석하고, 은유해보고자 했다.”

The impressions that the moment creates turn the place into a meaningful space even if they were only for a moment or a sudden happening. When such meaningful spaces overlap and come together, the space ultimately becomes area/space filled with joys and sorrow formed by our relationships with the surrounding. The existence of the space that has become “that place” now reminds of “those” who existed and disappeared. ARENA named X is an attempt to interpret and metaphorically express the unidentifiable people who exist in the horizon of time dwelling in a certain place.

The Journey of Eternity

For me, eternity isn’t simply out of clock time. It is a time zone (I am still not sure about just calling it time) where the realm of imagination lead us into a time of deep thought about our lives’ moments, reminding us that our authentic life trajectories brought us into our current seasons of life that no one else has; those real but intangible, unseen experiences through our souls, emotions, and instincts must continue not as passing thoughts or wondering but as soul searching.

이 책 <그가 달려왔다>는 희곡과 같이 1막에서 4막에 이르는 드라마틱한 구성을 통해 희로애락에 따른 주제를 다양한 방식의 글로써 풀어낸다. 전민경이 기록한 기획의 의도와 작품주제에 따른 개별 에세이, 참여작가인 싱어송라이터 데오나의 아버지에 대한 희로애락의 감정을 담담하게 해석한 단편소설, 그리고 각 막 극의 주제를 창작한 예술가들의 대화연작 및 도판으로 엮었다. 나아가 각 막 극의 생동감 있는 영상을 관람할 수 있는 큐알코드를 수록하여 독자들이 실제로 어떠한 전시와 공연을 통해 기록된 이야기인지 경험할 수 있도록 하였다.
